Registration Form
The Reach guide to finding the right skilled volunteer role
Stage one – Filling in the registration form
The details which you provide on the form provide us with the information which we need to find a volunteering opportunity suited to your skills and availability. It should be straightforward to fill in, but if you do have any questions then please call us on 0207 582 6543 or email mail@reachskills.org.uk and we will be able to help you. Please return the form to us by email.
Stage two – Our suggested volunteer opportunities Once you have completed the registration form we will send you a list of volunteer opportunities which our volunteer placement team will have personally selected based on your criteria. You can also search our directory of volunteer opportunities yourself if you would like to explore other roles which might suit you. You then tell us which roles sound interesting to you. No voluntary organisation will contact you until you have told us that you are interested in hearing from them.
Stage three – Making the connection with voluntary organisations We will then let the voluntary organisation know that you are interested in their role and give them your contact details. They will contact you directly and you will arrange to meet and discuss the role and your relevant experience. There will be no need to make a commitment until you have met them. Most voluntary organisations will contact you very quickly but sometimes there may be a delay, particularly if they have very limited resources. If you have not heard from them after a reasonable length of time, 2 to 3 weeks perhaps, feel free to contact them directly to discuss your interest.
Stage four - Making your decision It will be important to meet the organisation before you decide whether or not you will find the role fulfilling. You may want to meet more than one organisation before you make a decision. It is very important to keep the organisations up to date with your plans, though, and let them know as soon as you can whether or not you have decided to take their role.
Finding the right roleIt may be that you take a while to find a role that suits you, it is important that you find a role that is challenging and fulfilling. Do come back to us for more suggestions if our first selection does not appeal to you. Keep looking on our data base too as our pool of organisations grows every week and the site is updated regularly.
