Reach Volunteering (“Reach”) believes it is very important to respect the privacy of individuals, and to make only safe and ethical use of the information that is provided through electronic channels.  Where Reach collects information we are doing so in order to offer you better services, both on the website and in the rest of our operations.

Protecting your privacy is important to us.

Reach provides you access to www.reachskills.org.uk and other Reach sites (collectively called “the Site”).

This policy applies to any information acquired by and / or provided to Reach including but not limited to information provided through the use of the Site, information provided through enquiries or by the completion of any request for information and / or invitation for information or through any registration process where personal details may be provided to Reach to facilitate either an organisation recruiting a volunteer or where a volunteer is seeking to be placed with an organisation.

Personal Information

The information will be processed by Reach or on its behalf under strictly regulated conditions in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.

If any of the information we hold about you is inaccurate we will do our best to correct it quickly once you notify us. You can update your contact details and preferences online.  We will hold some of the information you give us in databases. We will ensure that these are confidential and secure and can only be accessed by authorised people.

Reach staff and volunteers are fully trained in the Privacy Policy and are aware that ensuring its full implementation is an important part of their work.

The implementation of the Privacy Policy is directly supervised by the Reach senior management team.
